Kheng Hoe graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Malaya in 1996. He is a Hutchings and Skrine scholar, a seasoned litigator and a frequent speaker in public and in-house seminars. He is also a certified mediator on the panel of the Malaysian Mediation Centre, with qualifications recognised in the UK and Australia, and a certified trainer in mediation for the Bar Council. He has been published in The Edge, The Sun, and The Nut Graph. He has extensive experience in Intellectual Property and Construction matters. 


As the firm’s Managing Partner, Kheng Hoe is constantly dishing out ideas to ensure that the firm’s people and clients are equally contented. In his free time, he dreams of completing a marathon.

Josephine first graduated with a B.Econs and started her career as a bank assistant manager. Looking to break free from the rat race, she read law and graduated with a B.Juris from the University of Malaya in 2002. She maintains a wide network of relationships with bankers and real-estate agents cultivated since her days at the bank. She is particularly adept at assisting clients with all their real estate and banking needs.


As head of the firm’s Real Estate, Banking and Finance practice, Josephine works harder than she did as a banker. She would never have believed that to be possible prior to this.


Murali Ram                                                murali@mycounsel.com.my


Murali graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Malaya in 1997. He was a recipient of three awards at the finals of the Jessup International Law Competitions of 1996 and 1997 held in Washington D.C. He practised as a Solicitor in Lovells of London, and as an Attorney-at-Law with Mourant of the Cayman Islands before returning to Malaysia. His areas of practice is civil litigation, notably cross-border disputes, fraud, asset tracing and trusts.


Murali used to be, intermittently, an author and a comedian. He has published two books, one of which is banned in Malaysia. He has since given up contemplating the meaning of life and poking fun at everyday happenings. Instead, he now heads the Litigation practice at the firm and, as a result, often seeks refuge in the flavours and aromas of the odd Cuban cigar.

Siok Keng graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Malaya in 2006. She is an experienced litigator and has handled a variety of civil matters at trial and appellate levels. She is an avid runner who strives to maintain a healthy work-life balance and can often be seen pounding the boulevards of Damansara Heights.

Sock Boon graduated with an LL.B. from Northumbria University in 2008. She specialises in Real Estate transactions and Finance while attending to Trade Mark registrations for the firm’s clients. She is constantly shying away from overzealous clients wishing to introduce her to potential suitors.

Wei Lee graduated with an LL.B. from the National University of Malaysia in 2009. She trained at Shearn Delamore & Co. and specialises in corporate and commercial drafting, having attended to various deals, big and small. Outside of work, she is a foodie always on the lookout for new eateries to explore.

Lee Yuen graduated with an LL.B. from Aberystwyth University in 2010. She specialises in civil and commercial litigation and is getting feistier by the month. Lee Yuen speaks German, sometimes even while scuba diving, and is generally wanderlust.

Jo Ee graduated with an LL.B. from Oxford-Brooks University in 2011. The latest addition to the firm, she is with our Real Estate and Banking practice. Jo Ee is still contemplating the meaning of life.
